My 56:
You may have also noticed that after several attempts at dieting (experiencing multiple famines) and losing weight and putting it back on again, that you end up at a higher weight than when you started the diet process.

2012 has not started for me as I was hoping. A very good friend lost her long battle with heart desease the first week, then I got the flu and was the sickest I've been in almost 20 years. Then my back went out...ouch. I'm just now starting to feel better and be able to move without moaning or screaming in pain.
So, since many of us have made a goal for 2012 to be THE year we get in shape, my question to you is...
How are your fitness goals going so far?
For me, I've only gotten in 2.5 hours so far. Very sad!!!

I wonder how much validity is in that 56? I've not experienced anything like that so I wouldn't know. Interesting though.
Oh, Freda!! That is a VERY valid statement for many of us. You're very lucky you've never had to deal with it!
Since I am limited to do much physically due to my back problems, I would say I am status quo. So sorry to hear about your friend and so understand about your back pain. Rest and moist heat.
I've always been really good about fitness- knock on wood.
Have a great weekend!

I'm sorry to hear about your friend and I sure hope you feel better soon. I'm already at a weight that is ok and my fitness is mainly taking Sam walking but I'll tell you trying to walk a headstrong dog in 20 below zero temps is exercise enough. Lol. I sure hope 2012 gets better for you.
I've got a pretty good yoga teacher that hopefully won't make us do things we can't. So far, not, and am enjoying all those good stretching exercises.
My fitness goals are in the toilet right now. I have to get a grip and start working out. It doesn't help that we constantly have company and family here. Just got rid again today so I'm going to try again on Monday. Maybe Sunday!
Happy Friday!
Not a top priority right now for me.
I am sorry your year got off to a challenging start with the loss of your friend and sickness. I am glad your back is getting better.
I am so sorry to hear about your friend and your own health struggles! I hope you are feeling stronger each day.
I can sooo totally relate to your Friday 56!! Thanks for sharing! Here is mine, if you get a chance to visit: http://pamelasbookspot.blogspot.com/2012/01/friday-56.html
2012 really hasn't been very kind to you so far, has it? So sorry about your friend - and hopefully you're feeling better!
I'm holding strong to my goals, though I need to step it up a few paces. ;)

I'm so sorry about your friend and your illness.
I haven't done ANYTHING yet this year, but I was severely anemic and had no energy, so I could barely function. I go my iron transfusion today, though, so now I'm ready to get out there!!
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. And I hope you are feeling better!!
As far as my goals -- I kept them pretty vague on purpose since I tend to be really bad at keeping to such things :-) So I'm doing vaguely well -- LOL

I really don't think about fitness goals BUT I just want to be able to keep up with my kiddos : )
so sorry about your friend...
as for fitness... i am working on it...
I hope you're doing better!
As for me, I really didn't make any fitness goals for myself except maybe to get more sleep.
